Snowdonia Triple Challenge

If you didn’t know already, Quickline Couriers, in partnership with Real5 Networking, will take on the Snowdonia Triple Challenge to help raise money for St Rocco’s Hospice. They rely on charity donations to make up 75% of their revenue. This way they can continue to deliver their wonderful services to patients and relatives of those who are poorly.

St Roccos has so many ways that can help If you or someone you love has been diagnosed with a life-limiting illness of any kind. Cancer is often the condition that people think of first when they think of hospices, but this charity is full of love and care for people with a whole range of illnesses, and for that we’re grateful.

What’s the game plan?

After an early start and a filling breakfast, we make our way to Llanberis, where the cycling portion of our adventure begins. We ride down the coast of Llyn Padam (Llanberis Lake), past the slate quarries of the Snowdonia National Park, towards Llyn Cwellyn, with Snowdon’s craggy peak behind us.

This is where we switch bikes for boots and begin the ascent of Snowdon itself, located between the Snowdon Massif and Mynydd Mawr (Big Mountain). Though it begins with a mild rise on the Snowdon Ranger route, the walking quickly becomes more difficult as we encounter a steep incline as we connect the Llanberis Path up to the peak. Snowdon and its surrounding peaks have been regarded as true instances of alpine typography, and from our lofty position, you can take in the surrounding lakes and cwms, as well as some of the most expansive vistas in the British Isles, weather permitting. On a clear day, four kingdoms, 24 counties, 29 lakes, and 17 islands may be seen!

Descending a long, steady descent, we’ll have to dig hard for the adventure’s highlight — a 2.5-mile paddle across Llyn Padam. The lake, nestled in Snowdon’s ever-present shadow, is among the magnificent scenery of the Llanberis Pass and serves as a perfect finale to this awe-inspiring trek. Following the compulsory pictures and team celebrations, the party will be taken back to the hotel from whence we will depart.

How can I donate?
