Since our inception, Quickline Couriers has experienced remarkable growth, building and maintaining relationships with a variety of customers from major blue-chip companies to smaller individual businesses nationwide. But where did it all begin?
Like some of the most famous companies in the world, Quickline Couriers’ humble beginnings took place in co-founder and current director Andrew Martin’s garage! In March 2016, amongst a lawnmower, tumble dryer, and Christmas decorations, Andrew and his business partner Stephen Doran identified a gap in a densely populated marketplace and decided to act. What has followed was beyond even their wildest expectations.
After less than 12 months of trading, the company amassed a significant number of customers who, tired of increasing prices and poor service, had turned to Quickline with their same-day needs. The unparalleled level of service provided by our team was a hit and the garage office could no longer support the demands of the business.
In December 2016 we moved into our first ‘proper’ office in Liverpool, suitable for up to 10 staff
The office move allowed the company space to grow the workforce and by May the company was supported by a 5 strong team.
In December 2017 the quickly growing business was on the move again to a facility providing multiple office and meeting space with plenty of room for growth. This office remains the current location of the Company’s head office and acts as the main hub in supporting the entire operational structure of the business!
In January 2019, Quickline Couriers launched their second operating location in Manchester. This new site allowed the Company to better service the demand for their services in and around the Manchester area as was our reputation for providing that unparalleled customer service that the Company was built on.
This proved to be one of the most challenging years in modern history. As the world wrestled with the Covid-19 pandemic, our team at Quickline worked harder than ever to ensure we kept the country moving and played our part as key workers in the Nation’s supply chain. Despite the turmoil, our company continued with impressive growth, launching our third operating location in Preston further increasing our reach throughout the North West region.
As the effects of Covid lingered, it was ‘out with the old’ and ‘in with the new’ as a fresh, new-look Quickline brand was announced along with the launch of our Company’s 4th operating location in Birmingham.
This is the Company’s first venture outside of the North West and promises to take Quickline to a national level within the industry.
The 21/22 financial year finished as a record-breaking high as we celebrated our 6-year anniversary.
As the country headed towards recession we relocated our Manchester operation and continued our growth as we opened our 5th operating location in Stoke.
The drive and ambition of the Directors is clear with big plans for the future to ensure that the business continues its impressive growth throughout the UK, allowing more businesses and individuals to benefit from the very best in same-day delivery.
The business currently employs a workforce of 27 office-based staff complemented by a nationwide field-based driving team of employees, subcontractors, and transport partners who assist in providing the full UK and European coverage.
These people continue to be the core of the Quickline operation and consistently ensure that we go above and beyond for every one of our customers, providing them with the ultimate experience in customer service.
